A card for a friend…

I made this card for a friend of mine awhile back.  I liked it so well that I made two of them.  I always thought it doesn’t hurt to have two of anything that you really like. *smile*  Gee I wonder if that would work for cars, jewelry, come to think of it I could come up with a lot of things I really like couldn’t you?  Hope you like the card as much as she did.

The hummingbird in the stamp set ‘Elements of Style’ was in flight going the opposite way that I wanted.  I also did not particularly want the design on his body that the stamp gives off.  To take care of both problems, I stamped the hummingbird on Old Olive, snipped it out and turned it over.  This way the bird was plain and I could mount it going in the opposite direction.  I sponged the edges of its body in Old Olive ink.  For a little more added dimension, I snipped around the top part of the flower so that it would extend on to the other layers of  card stock.  I stamped the flowers again, colored them with markers and snipped them out as well, used glue dots on the flowers and popped the hummingbird up with dimensionals.
