A Little Lattice Work–diagonally

Happy Monday to ALL!  I hope you had a great weekend, as usual they’re always too short and seem to FLY by all too quickly.   *smiles*

I have really gotten into cards with score lines recently.  With the help of TomBow glue and a few card stock strips, I made these lines work for me as a lattice.  Then you know what’s next……..flowers.  lol

         032

No, I did not make the flower, but could be easily done with the Daisy #2 die.  I just had these sticker flowers forever and wanted to use them.  It was a really good match with the So Saffron ribbon and Night of Navy card stock.

I first made the score lines, then skipped every other one and applied a strip of card stock using the score line as my guide to keep things straight.  Now how easy was that……*smiles*  “for you” from the All Holidays stamp set and the decorative label punch was all I needed for the sentiment.

In my stash of flowers, I found a much smaller one and popped it up on the inside.

Just a quick post today…..I’ll save my ‘run-ons’ for another day.  *smile*  This card is pretty straight forward, have fun with the layout and use any of your own flower designs for the focal point.

See you tomorrow, until then thanks so much for stopping by ~

Sigh...How come I can't make gorgeous cards like this one! Of course it doesn't help that I haven't had time to stamp lately!!

I love that blue with the daisy - one of my favorite flowers! So crisp and clean and beautiful!

Linda, you always do such a beautiful job with the arrangement of leaves and branches and flowers I got to wondering with this card .... do you do floral arranging too? You know how some crafty people can do quite a few different crafts and arts .... I just have to wonder because this is just beautiful!!! ~Celia

So fresh and pretty and I even learned how to "cheat" to make the lines straight and even!
One question...what punch/die did you use for the foliage? Lovely, Barbara

Linda,
I love the card. You use so much creativity. The lattice is pretty but the arrangement of the flower/greenery is gorgeous!

Beautiful card, Linda! I just love daisies with navy blue. I can't pick out all the foliage though. Can you offer any help? I use by bird builder punch to death for foliage so I'm always looking for new :o)

Gosh! Your cards are so lovely. Question: You did a card 4.30.2012 named: A Little Lattice Work-Diagonally. I was wondering how you did the measuring on this card. Also, do you remember the name of the green leaves? I'd love to try and make this technique. I looked on line but the lattice emboss folders aren't quite like your card. I can't get into your email address so I have to send my message. Thanks, Marlene (wimpy@eastlink.ca)

Linda, just found your beautiful lattice and flower card. Question, what distance are the score lines you made on the white panel. Also what size strips did you use in the Navy Blue card stock? Love the card and would like to make one. Thanks so much. dottiescards@comcast.net
