Pre-made Die Cuts

Hi there to all, so glad you found the time to come back!  Today’s card is about having to come up with something really fast and still have the beauty of 3D, clarity and charm.  What do you think?

       008

Remember Sage Shadow cardstock?  Yes, I am still working on some of the old stuff.  But I’m so glad I had it on hand…..it went perfectly with these precut die images.  The butterfly was all one piece, I did cut a couple slits to give it a little more dimension to the wings.  The only extra touch was to add the Thank You and twine, which, I thought set it off.

        017

I really tried to capture the sparkle on the wings and belly of this bird, also, on the butterfly.  But you all know my photography skills are by no means the best and I couldn’t manage to get it into the picture.  It’s not heavy, just enough to catch your eye.

Inside was quick too ~

                011

This could be considered a masculine card, but it’s one that I wouldn’t mind be on the receiving end of, the heart doily adds a touch of girly!!!

Well January has just about bit the dust, only one more month of those ‘longer’ winter days!!!  I’m good with that….*smiles*!

Smile . . .

Happy Monday to all my blogging friends!  I hope today’s card brings a smile to your face as it did mine while making it!

       016

Two more stamp sets that needed to see the light of day!  Hello Doily and the retired Petal Pick stamp sets.  The word smile was arrived from masking one of the petal images so that only the word smile would stamp.

        015

I used White Craft Ink to sponge around the edges of the doily stamp.  Pretty in Pink ribbon and DSP.  Leaves were stamped with Always Artichoke.

A simple inside ~

                 014

This angle shows up the use of dimensionals on each petal.  You know me gotta have a little 3D in there somewhere.  *smiles*

Hope you’re SMILING by now!  Have a great day everybody and as always, thanks so much for your visit!!!!

Tomorrow’s card…..no stamping (well almost none) no coloring, no embossing and only minutes to make!!!  You gotta see it!

Johnny Jump Up Flowers

Or at least my interpretation anyway,  they are a miniature pansy and make a great ground cover.  In this area they will soon be popping up everywhere!

        001

The flowers are from the Simple Friendship stamp set, while the stem is from the For All You Do stamp set.  Flowers were stamped with Elegant Eggplant Ink and centers were sponged with Barely Banana Ink.  After stamping each flower, I snipped out each petal, cupped them with my stylus, added a brad and mounted them with glue dots.  Check those corners out….punched and embossed!  Cool!

Looking at little closer ~

             008

             009

Last but not least, the inside ~

                   006

Most of the time after seeing the cards posted I usually think of a dozen things I would have done differently.  But this time I feel the need to pass along to you…..use Elegant Eggplant Ribbon, however this ribbon does match the Soft Subtle Brads very well.  I thought I had enough of the Eggplant but I was a couple inches too short and had to substitute.  But oh what a difference it would have made!

Until next time . . . HAPPY STAMPING!

And thanks for visiting!!

A Child’s C&S Valentine

HELLO everyone and a very Happy Tuesday to each of you!

I made today’s card with Stampin’ Ups A la Carte stamp ‘Elebration’.  He normally holds a balloon and birthday cake.  I kind of overrode it with a heart.  Hope you like it!!

        001

I first stamped the image (masking the balloon) and then heat embossed it with clear EP.  With my paper snips I did a little fussy cutting, cut the outline of the elephant and just in front of the cake I slipped a heart into his hands.

The ‘just for you’ is from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamping one word at a time and punching it out with the BoHo Blossom Punch.  Each word is mounted on a flag using the Petite Pennants Builder Punch.  The color combo was arrived from using a couple snippets from the Big Top Birthday DSP.  Keeping with a diamond pattern throughout the card, I used the SU! Background -Textured Plates.

       005

Pennants and Elephant were popped up with the use of dimensionals.  While Tempting Turquoise ribbon was used to connect the pennants.

Peeking inside ~

            006

Sentiment is again Teeny Tiny Wishes and the Heart to Heart punch was used for the two hearts.

A quick and easy child’s card for sure, not a lot here to elaborate on, but if you should have a question…….you know I’m just a click away!

THANKS for stopping by ~ I LOVE the company!!!!  *smiles*

Through Rain or Shine . . .

Have you ever bought a stamp that was one of those “Oh I have just got to have it” and then it sits forever!  Well here’s mine, I decided it was about time to put it to work. *smiles*

         017

I guess I was thinking that it was more valentine appropriate.  But after looking at it, I think I was wrong, I see more possibilities after putting it on paper.

How did I get the red underneath each scallop?  Using my SU! 1/2” circle punch.  I punched and then cut each circle in half, added just a tad of Tom Bow glue and then tucked each one under the scallops.  Easy!  Silver flatbacks for a little bling.

      008

I love a 3D look, stamped the umbrella again onto polka dotted paper heat embossed it with clear EP and popped it up with dimensionals.  Filled in her boots with my gel pen.

                007

The inside sentiment reads ‘Through Rain or Shine you’ll always be mine’.

                 015

Funny how things turn out, today just happens to be a HUGE rainy day here on DELMARVA (Delaware-Maryland-Virginia) I’ll be needing my umbrella too!!!!!

HUGS to all ! !

A Wedding Card or Two

Happy Monday to all!  For a lot of you, your celebrating the Holiday, isn’t it nice to have a LONG weekend at the same time!  Hummmmm more stamping time?

I was asked for a Wedding card, the colors were, vanilla/light beige, coral and black.  I hope they like their card.

      015

      014

Didn’t do my homework on this card.  Adding my Prima flower put it over the top and wouldn’t fit into an envelope!      Back to the drawing board. . .

         007

This one toned down quite a bit, although I like the first one better, this one fits nicely into an envelope!

      012

I used SU! Shimmery White Cardstock, the name refers to white, but I thinks it’s in between white and vanilla. Soft looking with just a hint of sparkle.  Little Leaves and Scalloped Heart of Hearts dies were used. The little shimmery white flowers and leaves are just something I dug out from my stash of what nots.

            008

Enjoy the day, I’ve planned my day around STAMPING!  *SMILES*

Thanks for visiting and remember send me an email with questions, I love hearing from you!

CASED from Pinterest

I have just recently been introduced to Pinterest and have to say I LIKE IT!  I think this is where everyone has been hiding out, I spent 2 hours looking around in no time flat!!!

This is a card that I happened to stumble upon and could only retain the cuteness of the card and did not pay attention as to it’s designer.  Dummy me didn’t even pin it!

I tried to go back and find the card and couldn’t, this card was cased by my best recollection ~ hope you like it!

Clean and Simple ~

        018

After viewing the top picture, the hearts reminded me of Indian arrowheads and began to wonder if I could improve them.

I don’t know, did I?

        030

Here’s a closer look at how the hearts were attached to the twine from the first card.  The second card is done in the same way.

        022

Both cards have the same inside ~

                004

I hope everyone has a great weekend.  I’m off to spend Saturday with our new Grandson and our Granddaughter and their families.  I’m looking forward to seeing them all!

AS ALWAYS, thanks a million for the visits and all the sweet comments!!!  I sincerely appreciate them all!!!

Love Is In The Air ~ The first thing that came into my mind was a red rose . . .

       018

Photographing white I find to be challenging.  Looking closer you can see I used textured cardstock just under the lattice die cut (partially trimmed down) and under that, I used smooth cardstock - scoring lines every 1/8” for yet another texture.  Notice that the lattice piece was popped up with dimensionals.

      011

A simple inside . . .

                    019

I know this rose bud has been around a while, but it’s one of those things that I can’t seem to grow tired of.  Thank You SU! for the Two Bird Step Punch!!

Dub Thee Heart Week

Blame it on the Pretty Pals January Hop beginning tomorrow  theming  ‘Love Is In The Air’.  I got into a heart mode over the weekend and couldn’t stop. *smiles*

          035

It was such a pretty day, I had to take the ‘love’ outdoors!

I got out and knocked off the dust from my Circuit machine to make the ‘love’ letters, expected to see a couple bats fly out as well, but that didn’t happen. *smiles*  I took my exacto knife to cut out the center of the “O”, made a Scalloped Border from  Red Glitter paper that would pier through the same ‘O’ and popped a heart on top.

The inside ~

            023

A larger Red Glitter paper heart for the inside corner and a closer look.

           026

I’m kind of working from the bottom and going upwards.  Wait until you see tomorrows card!!!  Want a peek?

                   007

Did you think I was going to show you the good part???  (*wink*)  Come back and see tomorrow. . .

I “LOVE” having you all stop by, it feeds my drive and keeps my mojo working!!!!!  Thank you for all the visits, I sincerely appreciate each and every one!
