A Stocking Card

Happy Monday to ALL!  Soooo hard to believe that it has been 10 days since I last posted, and I can’t tell you where the time was spent.  I hope I manage my money better than that!  LOL  Seriously, either I am moving SLOWER (that’s a definite) or things just get busier.  I have had a few cards already completed but couldn’t find the right combination of time and sun to get the pictures taken.  Which is always a struggle for me…I am definitely not a photographer.

Here’s a card I created using the new Stocking Builder Punch found in your Holiday Mini.

        078

The stocking was punched in Crumb Cake and Garden Green.  The Garden Green pieces were spritzed with a Gold Glimmer Mist.  The little snow flakes were miniature punches that I happened to have on hand and dusted with Dazzling Diamonds.  The poinsettia was made with the Blossom Petal Builder Punch, sponging the edges with Cherry Cobbler.  All of these were mounted on a Spellbinder die, which was placed on a matt embossed with the Snow Burst textured impressions EF, also, found in your Holiday Mini.

Hopefully here you can see the misting and glitter better.

For the inside, I embossed the edge of the paper with the Snow Burst EF along the left side and then ran a thin strip of Real Red down the right side of the embossed edge.

This is the kind of card I would love to receive during the Holidays with a little MORE GREEN stuffed inside that stocking!!! LOL

I hope this card helps to start your week off with a smile, I’m only a click away for any questions! *smile*

Here’s a sneak peek at tomorrow’s card:  I see more Dazzling Diamonds!

This is a beautiful card. I love that flower and the contrast between the embossed background and the focal point.

I recently learned a great photo tip from another stamper - Carla Bazhenhow. If you have a "scene" feature on your camera, check for a "museum" scene selection. For some reason, you don't need a sunny day to capture your photo. Worked like a charm for me!

Thanks for sharing your talent. Am I seeing a little pine branch in that sneak peek??

Well worth the wait ... this is stunning! Great look with the white against the embossed white! Glad to see you creating again. I thought once the children left for college, I would be stamping all the time. I think I actually go to my craft room less.
