My Last Bunny

I promise!!!  This card finishes up my ‘bunny’ list for this year.  Whew, I’m so glad, I know you are.  *smiles*

I wanted this bunny to wink.  I’m not sure I succeeded, but at least you can get the idea, right? lol

Looking a little closer ~

A few crystal flatbacks to the flower centers and the Easter Egg actually is dusted with Dazzling Diamonds.  It was a sticker from stash, but the glitter made all the difference.

Oooooops…..I forgot to do the inside!

Thank you for putting up with all my little ‘wabbits’ this week and thank you, Creations on Paper, for providing all the inspiration.  You know I actually like mice almost as much as ‘wabbits’…….but I’ll give you all a break on that one.  LOL

I appreciate your ‘hopping’ in and hope you’ll be back next week where things will be back to normal……hopefully!  See you then. *smiles*

Bunny Magnets and a Card

Have you seen this card with the cute little bunny hopping to the inside, it’s just the cutest.  I wanted to make one and thought if I make it, I have to share it.  So here’s another one, hope you’re not too bored with them.

         007

And you know that adorable ‘wabbitt’ face I have used before from Creations on Paper……here it is again, this time with a bent ear and feet made with the Modern Label punch ~

                    006

I needed several small ‘token of appreciation’ items for the weekend and was thinking I wanted to do something a little different than a card.  My brain came up with magnets ~

            014

You know all those little refrigerator advertising magnets you find at your insurance agencies office or at a Garden and Home Show, anywhere there are tables set up for information purposes.  When I come across them I save every one.  Here’s good reason why.  I took one of these magnets, cut it up into small thin strips, using the Tombow glue attached the strip to the back of each rabbit.

Here they are on my refrigerator ~

                       017

Works perfect!

One last rabbit tomorrow.  It’s on a card and then I’m done with my Easter list.  Aren’t you glad! *smile*  See you then.

Grandchildren’s Easter Baskets

With Easter just around the corner, I thought I’d share with you what I’ve been up to lately.

I happened to find the cutest little rabbit found HERE, by this most amazing stamper.  I made a few changes here and there to best suit my needs.  I hope you enjoy them.

This one is Jacobs ~

                021

Ansley’s ~

                022

I did some inlaid embossing on hers.  Notice the Chocolate flowers.

Jarrett’s ~

                023

Kind of hard keeping his toned down enough for a boy.  The Easter Egg is a sticker from my stash.

And one for Lucea ~

                024

You know each basket will be filled with little goodies!  *smiles*

I know you’re thinking…..how did you make the basket?  Directions can be obtained from the same link provided above.

Please come on back tomorrow to see magnets!

Thank you for visiting!!!     Photobucket

TODAY’S CARD
I was stamping in the light of SPRING.  Wanted the card to reflect light springy colors and you know it had to have a flower……or two.
          001
I first embossed the three circles on a strip of smooth Whisper White card stock.  Then punched three circles making them just a tad smaller than the embossed circles and using matching cardstock with the corresponding flowers – Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise.  I then added a strip of Tempting Turquoise down the center topping off the left side with a bow.  The charm attached to the bow is actually a coffee pot……..looked like a watering can to me!  *smiles*
Looking closer ~
        038
Notice the buttons for the flower centers with the thin strips of card stock run through the button holes.  The thin strips where then curled with a skewer.
The inside ~
                      003
If you look closely you can see how each flower petal was curled up on the ends and kind of twisted to one side.  Not the best picture I know.  With such warm days, the fog here sets in until about noon or so and then I have lost my picture taking spot.  Grrrrrrr!
I hope your first weekend of Spring is a good one!  Thank you so much for finding the time to visit!
Lots of crafty hugs to all!

Smile

This crazy weather we’re having here is making me all about flowers.  At One time…..you could always count on SNOW in March not several 70 degree days in a row!  Not complaining mind you, I’m just sayin…crazy weather.

Today’s card is one large flower.  I bought this stamp set just as it was to retire.  I know I’m the late bloomer while you all were probably the early bloomer and have had this set for some time.  It’s one of those that you will see from me often….I like it retired or not. *smile*

          004

I’m liking the designer button with pink twine and the smaller label made with the Decorative Label Punch.

Print With Stripes clean and simple

Hello to ALL and a very Happy Monday!!!

I love stripes mixed with polka dots and prints.  Today’s card reflects just that……*smiles*

        010

There’s a little story behind this card.  I was viewing a friend of mine on Pinterest, her amazing blog can be found here, while viewing some of her pins I came across this card.  I was so amazed at the similarities!  If you have the time please check out BOTH blogs, you’ll find some wonderful creativity and inspiration.

A Rose For A Friend

Happy Thursday to ALL!  Another weekend will soon be upon us, I sure am ready, how about you?

I have a dear friend who will be celebrating her Birthday next week and I wanted to make her card a little special.  You have seen this embossing folder before, but this is my first time making the rose.  I think it turned out pretty well.

        027

It took a little time until I got the hang of it.  All petals were punched in Pretty in Pink and then I sponged all edges with the same colored ink.  Then glued the petals one by one.  *smiles*  I’m not too sure about those rose buds,  I’ll keep working on those!  *smiles*

I wish you all the very best for the weekend, stay safe, healthy, enjoy each other and I hope you find the time to stamp!  *smile*

You may or may not remember, but one year ago this month,  I introduced the strawberry made from the Heart of Hearts die to the stamping world.  That card can be seen on the right sidebar of this blog.  I was thinking it would be only appropriate to revisit that strawberry on a card in today’s hop.  I hope you like it.  *smiles*

You Brighten My Day

In my blog land travels recently I saw a stamp set that made a light bulb go off – almost literally.  As an end result, here’s a couple punch art cards today that I  hope ‘brighten’ your day the clean and simple way.  *smiles*

       042

The base for the lamp is your ornament punch stamped with a partial image from the Summer Sweet stamp set.

The shade was made using the scallop circle and large oval punches.  The oval punch was used to trim in the sides and to make the black rim on the outside of the shade.  Dimensionals were used to pop the shade up for the 3-D effect.

        044

The second card uses the same punches for it’s lamp shade as well.  The lamp base; however was made using the scalloped border punch.

        043

Cameo Coral proved to be the perfect choice of pinks for this card.

        045

I’ll be using these cards as ‘Thank You’ cards and am always glad to think of another way to use up all those scraps.  *smiles*

Mark your calendars!!  I believe next Tuesday – The PALS March HOP!

Have a great weekend everyone and thanks for taking the time to visit!

A Little Mixed Bunch

Somehow I got behind! *smiles*  For one reason or another postings didn’t get done for the last couple of days.  I think my ‘Golden Years’ are quickly becoming ‘tarnished’!! lol

Here’s the other brown and white card I promised you last Tuesday ~

            028

I really like the Mixed Bunch stamp set from the  current Occasions Mini Catalog.  I think the possibilities are endless.

I tried my hand at ‘off set stamping’ on one of the images.  First stamping it in Early Espresso and then using my stamp-a-ma-jig to off set the next time stamping it in Whisper White.  The ‘hello’ is from the hostess set -Posy Punch - using a white gel pen to highlight the dots.  I used the Blossom punch with Early Espresso Cardstock to provide it’s background.

There was enough going on with the main focal point, which led me to believe I wanted the centers of the other two images to be simple.  By using my 1/2” circle punch I was able to leave off the dotted circle around the starburst image, while the bow took care of the other image’s center.
