A More Tailored Look

Hi there and hope you all will be getting the BEAUTIFUL weather that we are going to have for the next couple of days.  Spring is definitely on the horizon!!!

I love black, white and red together.  I love black, white and yellow together.  Got to thinking…..what about them all together?

         005

Here’s a little closer look at some of the detail . . .

      010

I made the word friend pop with the help of Real Red Ink, framing it in black and adding a dimensional.  The yellow dot is a tiny hole punched from another border punch.  A brad was too big. All yellow pieces are from Daffodil Delight textured paper.

When I placed the stripped EF on top of the textured white cardstock, it just didn’t do enough for me.  I like the scored edge on the Tulip Framed EF, got me to thinking again.  I took a scoring tool and went all around the very outside edge and mounted the stripped piece just inside.  It kind of gave the finished look of a show box.

       007

I wanted the inside to compliment the outside . . .

                   010

I’m seeing somewhat of a tiny hint of pink hues in these pics.  Trust me there is NONE, it’s all white!  I can’t tell you how many times I took and retook these pictures before giving up.

As ALWAYS thanks so much for the visit, be sure to stop by tomorrow for a little MONKEY business!

Stop showing off 'coz you've got somryhing called a blue sky! I've heard of them, but never seen one! Our sky is a kind of muddy grey...as usual.. Oh AND as usual, it's raining! Ha Ha! Now let's talk about this little vision of loveliness, no not ME!! the CARD! You certainly have a nose for what works and for creating little details that enhance all your rpojects. LOVE that little 'friend' and the embossing. OK, now I've written an essay, I'll be off. xxx

Yeah, they've already said what I was thinking. Well, not about the blue sky, although we have one of those and 80 degrees right now ... but this is a GREAT card for another reason: postage friendly. AND, a card that won't get crushed in the mail, either! Love, love, love it!

How do you photograph your white so perfectly?? I avoid white because it always looks dirty blue in my pictures! This is gorgeous - and I adore the tiny frame around friend with the tiny yellow dot :)

I love these colors. I'm with Linda C - my white cards look a bit blue when I photograph them. What a pretty card. I see a "CASE" coming on!!

We had a beautiful day here in New England - high 50's...not bad for February!

Hiya Linda!

Your card is beautiful. I especially like the combination of colors and elements. Great!

Please can you tell me in a comment on my blog, which Embossing Folder you used for the background? I am looking for this embossing folder with broad stripes for a very long time. About your help I would be very happy.
