Cherry Cobbler On Black and White and

It Totally Got By Me – I knew it was coming and was waiting for it – It just did not dawn on me that yesterday was June 1st the release of the upcoming stamps and accessories that are going to be retired.  In case any of you did not catch it please visit “Pretty Provisions” by clicking HERE.  Sandie was on top of her game and has ALL the information and complete lists.  Thank You Sandie!

I’ve got a clean and simple sympathy card for you all today.  I put a little twist on the ribbon…..no bows, but wrapped the scallop edges, in the valley portions, with ribbon.

       029

The most time consuming task with this card is attaching the ribbon.  I cut 18 1” pieces of ribbon and attached them separately.  I tried to ‘wrap’ the ribbon but it absolutely would not lay evenly and looked a mess.  I had the TV on (watching the ‘big’ trial’) so attaching the individual pieces went rather quickly.  The rest was a piece of cake.  The oval center piece was saved from using the Frame Oval Scallop Die previously on another card and was popped up with dimensionals.

Looking inside ~

This is also a better view of the white oval piece that was mounted with a thicker dimensional.  All stamped components were heat embossed.  The inside black oval was the center cut of the Oval Scallop on the front of the card.

Supplies needed ~ all are SU! unless otherwise noted

  • Card stock – W. White, B. Black and C. Cobbler
  • Stamps – All Holidays and Thoughts and Prayers
  • Misc. – Basic Pearls, Clear EP, B. Black Ink and Frame Scallop Oval Die, Ribbon and Thick Dimensionals are from my stash

This is a short posting week for me, but please plan on coming back first thing Monday.  I’ve got a lot for you next week – punch art included. *smile*  Have a great week’s end … stay healthy, happy and keep on stamping!!!

I am new to stamping as a friend recently introduced me to Stampin' Up! About a month ago I came across your blog, and I am so happy I did! I continue to be impressed by your work, but today's post is exceptional!! LOVE the colors! I have to mention that I love how you always show the inside of your cards. I like to carry things over to the inside as well. Gives it that "extra" touch. Thanks so much for your inspiring ideas!
