A Vase of Twigs

Yes I know, I missed a post yesterday!  Extreme Home Makeover is in town and I have been obsessed with all the hullaballoo.  Look for pictures of who I met, the house and the family in tomorrow’s post!  I even spent time in the VIP tent!

BUT for now, take a look at today’s card, it has a little bit of a different flare than what I normally do…….hope you like it!

The twig is from the Autumn Days stamp set.  In order to get a couple of the twigs to go the opposite direction, I had to put the Mirror Image stamp to work.  To tell you the truth I was really surprised how well that part turned out.  The vase, made with the large oval punch, didn’t show up so well, so I took a picture using the flash just in order to give you a better look.

I ran the punched oval piece thru the Big Shot using the Elegant Lines EF.  Added a red rhinestone from my stash.  The bow appears to be a little orangie……actually its a Christmas Red.

Kept the inside simple ~ Used thin satin ribbon on the outside and a wider satin ribbon on the inside.

The sun has not shown its face here in the last several days and the temps have not gotten out the the high 50’s…..not complaining mind you, but it havoc trying to get a descent picture.

Thanks so much for the visit today, if you have the time leave me a comment and let me know what you think……good or bad! *smiles*  Looking forward to sharing my pictures with you tomorrow.  The big reveal day is sometime tomorrow you know how that goes….”MOVE THAT BUS!”

You MUST explain about the Mirror Image stamp. I know the concept but I've never seen how it is done with such clear results. I LOVE this...very elegant!
