Warm Winter Wishes

Hi there, hope the New Year is treating everyone well so far!  Things continue to get normal around here! *smiles*

Remember that snowman with the gray suit?  While cleaning off my craft table, I happened to come across him and decided to find him a home.  Here’s what I did ~

He is mounted on the large scalloped circle die.  I did the usual fold my paper in half, leaving the fold just under the die cut so that I would have a front and back attached.  But I don’t care for the straight line that it leaves on your card.  So I cut another scalloped circle, in it’s entirety, and used an adhesive to attach it to the front of my card.  Now I have the scalloped edges going all the way around.

The jewelry tag was used for the sentiment.  I didn’t have a stamp that was small enough for the punch, so I computer generated Warm Winter Wishes, it worked perfectly.

I recently purchased the snowflake punch from SU’s Clearance Rack, punching a few and then sticking them together for a little more dimension to the card.  They fold down nicely for mailing and then pop back up (with a little help).

Here’s checking him out a little closer ~

That’s it for today, I hope you have a great weekend!  I’ll be back on Tuesday, the PALS have their January Hop ~ LOVE IS IN THE AIR.  I’m thinking there will be a lot of different takes on this one, from clouds, hot air balloons and airplanes to hearts!

See you then!!!

Excellent job, Linda ~ as always! He's smart enough to stand alone, but you gave him some 'extra class' with his new home ;o) (I just ordered the snowflake punch from clearance as well!)

Your snowman is absoluely adorable and thanks for sharing your tip of keeping the scallops going all the way around. In the Bay Area of CA we have had no real winter yet...some freezing nights/mornings but no rain! This would be a fun New Year card to send to friends/family who live in snow areas. Take good care and thanks!
