In my blog land travels recently I saw a stamp set that made a light bulb go off – almost literally. As an end result, here’s a couple punch art cards today that I hope ‘brighten’ your day the clean and simple way. *smiles*
The base for the lamp is your ornament punch stamped with a partial image from the Summer Sweet stamp set.
The shade was made using the scallop circle and large oval punches. The oval punch was used to trim in the sides and to make the black rim on the outside of the shade. Dimensionals were used to pop the shade up for the 3-D effect.
The second card uses the same punches for it’s lamp shade as well. The lamp base; however was made using the scalloped border punch.
Cameo Coral proved to be the perfect choice of pinks for this card.
I’ll be using these cards as ‘Thank You’ cards and am always glad to think of another way to use up all those scraps. *smiles*
Mark your calendars!! I believe next Tuesday – The PALS March HOP!
Have a great weekend everyone and thanks for taking the time to visit!

Hi Linda...I think this card is so cute! So much so that I am going to make one like it!
I could tell you used the ornament punch but thought you had used maybe a tag punch for the shade. I was suprised that it in fact was the scallop circle.
Have a great weekend!!!

Super duper cute! Reminds me that I haven't used my corner punches in a long, long time! Love the lamps!

These are so adorable! Such bright, happy cards! I especially love the first one and the way you made the lamp shade!
I'm always looking for ideas for cards for my good friend Greg, who's a lighting designer. Your creativity is going to save my bacon yet again. This is an adorable idea and I love that you've found yet another use for the ornament punch. TFS!
Very clever!
hugs, m
Such a fabulous idea - these cards are brilliant. I suppose you could also use the tab punch for the shade too.
I enjoy your work, your cards are really lovely.
Cute ideas! I use the ornament punch for vases all the time, but honestly never thought about a lamp base. TFS!!
