That’s what Simply Less Is More’s Challenge is all about this week. I thought I can handle that……I have scraps everywhere. I keep the smallest pieces of paper. If I can get as much as a 1/4” circle out of it, I keep it. (Bad, huh!)
Here is my entry ~
I love the Fabulous Florets stamp set. Here I paired it up with Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise and a splash of Old Olive. The flowers were each stamped out three times, one time for the base of the flower and then another two times so that I could build two additional layers on each one after doing a little fussy cutting. They were stamped with Versa Mark and heat embossed with white EP. I find that sometimes when using white ink, it has a tendency to fade into the darker colored cardstocks. The embossing powder remains a crisp white color.
Looking a little closer ~
Used the same stripped panels for the inside ~
If you have the opportunity check out “less is more” they’re one more place for obtaining some great inspiration on clean and simple cards.
Thanks for stopping by, I enjoy having each and every one of you!!!!

Hi Linda, I to save so much scrap paper. It really does come in handy for those small items we need. I love the way you used up some of the scraps on this card. Very nice! I love your work!
Ooh, thank you for making me hoard even MORE bits of paper than before Linda! You make 'scraps' look like the finest cuts! xxx
What a gorgeous color combo! Just outstanding!
I tend to stay away from brights, but I just love this color combo. I especially love those flowers - I use that set a lot but have never thought to emboss it with white. I am soooooo going to case this card! See...you still can teach this old dog a new trick (or two!!)
Wow you even make scrap paper look great! I throw away most of those little bits because I never know what to do with them!
I love this CAS! So simple yet so very beautiful!
I really enjoy punch art so I save every little piece of paper as well.
And I love CAS cards. For as simple and elegant your card is, I know it took a lot of time to do all the fussy cutting. Sometimes, there is nothing simple about a CAS card.
I am always SO impressed with your work, but what you do with scraps is nothing short of AMAZING!!! Great job!!! I'm definitely going to steal your idea of embossing ;o) TFS!!!
I'm impressed with the scraps you saved and used! They look fabulous on this card! Your flowers are stunning! I never think to stamp and fussy cut to add layers. I LOVE the look you created doing that! Gorgeous card, my friend!
Lovely card Linda, I really like the dimension you've added to the gorgeous flowers!
Thanks so much
Chrissie

Gorgeous card. Love the bright colors.
Love the card! I like to save scraps as well and take any scraps, even dsp and use any of the trio small punches or any small punch we carry. I store them in the brad containers and pull them out when I need them for a card or class. I can do this when I'm resting in front of the tv and no time is wasted!
A very cool card...loving the colors~ TFS!
Gorgeous card, love the colour combo
Thank you very much
